Privacy

This is a tool for running a sports pool with people you already know. It is not an advertising business and there is nothing to sell, so the short version is: we collect what the pool needs to work, and nothing else.

What we store

• Your email address. It is how you sign in and how pool mail reaches you.
• A display name, per crew. You choose it, and it is what everyone in that pool sees.
• Your picks, the confidence ranks and tiebreaker guesses attached to them, and how they graded.
• Which pools you belong to, when you joined, and whether your commissioner has marked your dues paid.
• Anything you type into a pool’s chat or announcements.

That is the list. We do not ask for your real name, your phone number, your address, your date of birth, or any payment details, because none of them are needed to run a pool.

Money

We never handle it. A pool’s entry fee is a note your commissioner wrote, and marking somebody paid is your commissioner saying so about something that happened somewhere else — a payment app, cash, a cheque. No money moves through this app, we store no card or bank details, and there is nothing to charge back.

Who can see what

• Your picks are private until the game starts. Nobody in your pool can see what you took before kickoff, including your commissioner. After kickoff they are visible to the pool, which is the point.
• Your email address is never shown to other members, only your display name.
• Your own history — how you have done backing or fading each team — is visible only to you.
• Your commissioner can see who has picked, who has paid, and the standings. Not your email, and not your picks before kickoff.

Who else is involved

Four services, each doing one job:

• Supabase hosts the database and handles sign-in.
• Vercel runs the site.
• Resend delivers email. It sees your address and the message.
• ESPN and Open-Meteo supply schedules, scores, lines and weather. We send them no information about you — we ask about games, not people.

Nobody else receives your data, and none of it is sold or used for advertising.

How long we keep it

A pool’s history is the point of a pool, so picks and standings stay for as long as the pool does. You can delete your account from the account page. Your entries come out of the standings, which will change the record for everyone else in those pools.

Cookies

One, and it is your sign-in session. There is no analytics script, no advertising pixel, and no third-party tracker on this site.

Children

This is not built for under-18s and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes, and reaching us

If this changes in a way that matters, the date at the top changes and we will say so in your pool. Questions, or a deletion request: pool@pickninja.app.
